Free email verification does not require a QuickMX account first. The page keeps your current mailbox credentials and tries to restore the same inbox after a refresh; a new address is created only when the old one expires or is destroyed.
Copy the temporary email
Copy the address shown at the top and paste it into the site requesting email verification. Use it for one task at a time to make incoming messages easier to identify.
Submit and wait for the message
Return to your inbox while the system checks for new mail automatically. You can also click refresh to check immediately without reloading the entire page.
Open the message and read it
Click the message row to view its subject, sender, time, and content. Verification emails usually display the code as a prominent number in the message body.
Get a new address when finished
Once the one-time task is complete, there is no need to keep the address. Click Get a new one to discard the old address and start fresh; the old address becomes invalid immediately, preventing accidental use for a long-term account.

If a site only needs email verification and has no reason to contact you again, a temporary inbox is usually enough. If you expect orders, billing messages, or account recovery emails, use a forwarding alias and create a separate address for each service.
Do not use it for critical accounts
Banking, payments, healthcare, government, work, and primary social accounts need a stable identity-recovery path. Once a temporary email expires, continued access cannot be guaranteed, so it is not suitable for these uses.
Do not submit secrets by email
A disposable inbox is a convenience tool, not an end-to-end encrypted vault. Do not use it for identity documents, financial information, private keys, or other highly sensitive data.
Check delivery status first if mail is missing
Confirm the address is complete, wait a few minutes, and refresh manually. Some sites reject temporary email domains, while senders may delay delivery; changing addresses may not solve a restriction imposed by the originating site.

How long can I keep a temporary email?
A new mailbox is valid for 3 hours by default and can be extended before it expires, up to 24 hours from creation. When the countdown reaches zero, the address and inbox access expire, so do not treat it as a permanent account email.
Can I use it to receive verification codes?
Yes. You can receive common email verification codes, confirmation links, and signup notifications, but final delivery depends on the sending website. Some services actively block disposable email domains, and QuickMX cannot bypass their signup policies.
Why isn't my temporary email receiving messages?
First, check that the pasted address is complete, then wait one to three minutes and click refresh. If the sending site explicitly rejects temporary email, use your usual email or a QuickMX forwarding alias instead of repeatedly submitting new addresses.
Does anonymous email mean it cannot be traced at all?
No. Temporary email reduces the chances of exposing your real address to third parties, but it does not make you anonymous online or hide other information collected by your browser, network, or the website itself. Think of it as an email-isolation tool.
Are email attachments kept?
Temporary inboxes do not provide long-term attachment storage, and messages over 100MB are rejected. If you need to receive attachments continuously, review the attachment limits guide and choose a more suitable forwarding option.
Can I still use the old email after changing addresses?
No. Clicking Get a new one creates a new 3-hour mailbox and destroys the old one to prevent the two states from being confused. Complete any codes or confirmation links in the old inbox before switching.
