Temporary inboxes are kept for 3 hours by default · Use email forwarding when you need to receive mail long term

Delivery troubleshooting

Verification email not received:
troubleshoot delivery step by step

First confirm the address and timing. Then determine whether the sender never sent it, the queue is delayed, a temporary domain was rejected, or the forwarding destination blocked it.

Wait 1–3 minutes first

Verification codes usually arrive quickly, but the sender's job queue may be busy. Don't click Send ten times in a few seconds, as this can invalidate older codes.

Then refresh manually

Return to your inbox and click Refresh; you don't need to reload the entire page. Make sure the countdown is still running and that the current address hasn't been replaced or deleted.

Check the full address

Check the prefix, hyphens, and domain, especially for extra spaces after pasting. An incorrect address won't automatically redirect to a similar mailbox.

Identify sender-side rejection

If the form says that temporary email addresses aren't accepted, that's the sender's policy—not a delivery failure. Respect the site's rules and use a long-term address instead.

Step 1

Confirm the message was actually sent

Check whether the sender shows “Sent,” the destination address, and the expiration period. Some sign-up pages require a CAPTCHA or terms acceptance first, so a button may appear to work even though the request wasn't submitted.

Step 2

Keep only the latest verification code

When you request multiple codes, many services immediately invalidate the code in the previous email. Sort messages by time, open the newest one first, and submit it within the number of minutes allowed by the sender.

Step 3

Distinguish the temporary inbox from the forwarding path

Temporary email appears directly on the webpage; a forwarding alias must also pass through the destination email provider. Check the spam folder, Promotions tab, and custom filters as well.

Step 4

Don't use a new address to bypass a policy rejection

Switch addresses only if the current one was exposed, mistyped, or needs to be isolated for a separate receiving task. If the site blocks the entire disposable-email category, changing addresses repeatedly may still fail.

Will refreshing make my mailbox or messages disappear?

Manual refresh only checks the current mailbox again; it doesn't shorten its validity. Your current receiving access ends only when you switch or delete the address, or when it expires.

Can a large attachment prevent the entire email from appearing?

It can. If the message exceeds receiving limits, poses too much file-type risk, or is rejected upstream, it may not reach your inbox. For important files, use a mutually accepted long-term email address and a trusted transfer method.

Can QuickMX guarantee that every website can send verification codes?

No. Sending and receiving depend on the sender's policies, DNS, queues, and content filters. QuickMX can't force third parties to accept disposable addresses or resend messages.
